Place your bowl in a bowl cozy before heating it in a microwave. The cozy will catch drips and allow you to hold the hot bowl comfortably.
Or use it to hold a cold bowl of ice cream.
Or use it a a bowl for anything dry (use as a bread basket, for instance).
